  • 1 cup hot fudge sauce
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
  • Vanilla ice cream for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch round cake pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Add the milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients and mix until well combined.
  4. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and spread evenly.
  5. Drizzle the hot fudge sauce over the batter, allowing it to sink slightly.
  6. If using, sprinkle chopped nuts on top.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  8. Let the cake cool for a few minutes before serving with vanilla ice cream and additional hot fudge sauce.
