  • 1 package of wonton wrappers
  • 1 pound ground pork
  • 2 green onions, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix ground pork, green onions, soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, garlic, salt, and pepper.
  2. Place a small spoonful of the filling in the center of each wonton wrapper.
  3. Moisten the edges of the wrapper with water and fold to seal.
  4. In a large pot, bring chicken broth and water to a boil.
  5. Add the wontons to the boiling broth and cook for about 5-7 minutes until they float to the top.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with additional green onions if desired.

Notes

  • For a vegetarian option, substitute ground pork with tofu or mushrooms.
  • Wontons can be made ahead of time and frozen for later use.
