Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a saucepan, brown the butter over medium heat until it turns golden brown and has a nutty aroma.
  3. In a large bowl, mix the brown butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until well combined.
  4. Add the pumpkin puree, egg, and vanilla extract, and mix until smooth.
  5. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  7. Fold in the white chocolate chips.
  8. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  9. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
  10. Let the cookies cool before decorating with black icing to create spooky ghost faces.
