- 1 box chocolate cake mix
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1 can chocolate frosting
- 12 chocolate sandwich cookies
- 24 candy eyes
- 1 cup pretzel sticks
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake pan with cupcake liners.
- In a large bowl, combine the chocolate cake mix, eggs, water, and vegetable oil. Mix until well combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared cupcake liners, filling each about 2/3 full.
- Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow the cupcakes to cool completely before frosting.
- Frost each cupcake with chocolate frosting.
- To create the spider, twist each chocolate sandwich cookie in half and place one half on top of the frosted cupcake.
- Insert pretzel sticks into the sides of the cookie to form the spider legs.
- Finish by placing two candy eyes on top of the cookie half to complete the spider look.
