  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup non-dairy milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup vegan chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a small baking dish.
  2. In a saucepan, melt the vegan butter over medium heat until it turns golden brown.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in the brown sugar and granulated sugar until well combined.
  4. Add the cocoa powder, flour, baking soda, and salt, mixing until just combined.
  5. Stir in the non-dairy milk and vanilla extract until smooth.
  6. If using, fold in the vegan chocolate chips.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Let cool before cutting into squares and serving.

  • For a richer flavor, allow the melted butter to brown slightly longer.
