A delightful and refreshing sorbet made with ripe plums and aromatic cardamom, perfect for a hot day.

Ingredients

  • 4 ripe plums, pitted and chopped
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cardamom
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine water and sugar over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves.
  2. Add the chopped plums and cardamom to the saucepan, and simmer for about 10 minutes until the plums are soft.
  3. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
  4. Blend the mixture until smooth, then stir in the lemon juice.
  5. Pour the mixture into a shallow dish and freeze for about 4 hours, stirring every hour to break up ice crystals.
  6. Once frozen, scoop and serve the sorbet in bowls.

Notes

  • For a sweeter sorbet, adjust the sugar according to your taste.
