  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons shawarma spice blend
  • 1 can (14 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Add chopped onion and garlic, sauté until translucent.
  3. Stir in the chicken thighs and shawarma spice blend, cooking until the chicken is browned.
  4. Add the diced tomatoes and chicken broth, bringing to a simmer.
  5. Stir in the basmati rice, cover, and reduce heat to low.
  6. Cook for 20 minutes or until rice is tender and liquid is absorbed.
