- 2 cups rolled oats
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup chocolate chips (optional)
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
- Add honey and vanilla extract, mixing well.
- In another bowl, combine rolled oats, flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until combined.
- If desired, fold in chocolate chips.
- Spread the dough evenly in a greased 9×13 inch baking pan.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
- Allow to cool before cutting into bars.
