Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 lb ground pork
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 cup marinara sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, garlic, egg, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes.
  3. Mix the ingredients until well combined, but do not overmix.
  4. Form the mixture into meatballs, about 1.5 inches in diameter.
  5. Place the meatballs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until cooked through.
  7. While the meatballs are baking, heat the marinara sauce in a saucepan over medium heat.
  8. Once the meatballs are done, add them to the sauce and simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
  9. Serve hot with pasta or on their own.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, let the meatball mixture sit for 30 minutes before forming them.
  • These meatballs can be frozen for later use.
  • Feel free to substitute ground turkey or chicken for a lighter option.
