- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, garlic, egg, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes.
- Mix the ingredients until well combined, but do not overmix.
- Form the mixture into meatballs, about 1.5 inches in diameter.
- Place the meatballs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until cooked through.
- While the meatballs are baking, heat the marinara sauce in a saucepan over medium heat.
- Once the meatballs are done, add them to the sauce and simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
- Serve hot with pasta or on their own.
Notes
- For extra flavor, let the meatball mixture sit for 30 minutes before forming them.
- These meatballs can be frozen for later use.
- Feel free to substitute ground turkey or chicken for a lighter option.
