A rich and creamy mocha mousse that combines the flavors of coffee and chocolate for a decadent dessert.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup brewed espresso, cooled
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 3 large egg yolks
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form. Set aside.
  2. In another bowl, whisk together the espresso, sugar, cocoa powder, egg yolks, vanilla extract, and salt until smooth.
  3. Gently fold the whipped cream into the espresso mixture until fully combined.
  4. Divide the mousse into serving dishes and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
  5. Garnish with chocolate shavings or whipped cream if desired.

  • For a stronger coffee flavor, use dark roast espresso.
