  • 1 1/2 cups warm water
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 packet (2 1/4 teaspoons) active dry yeast

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
  2. Add flour and salt to the yeast mixture and stir until a sticky dough forms.
  3. Cover the bowl with a damp cloth and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
  4. Preheat the oven to 450°F (230°C).
  5. Transfer the dough onto a floured surface and shape it into a loaf.
  6. Place the loaf on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and let it rise for another 30 minutes.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Let it cool on a wire rack before slicing.
