  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup diced onion
  • 1/4 cup diced green bell pepper
  • 1/4 cup corn kernels
  • 1 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • 4 whole wheat burger buns
  • Avocado slices (for topping)
  • Tomato slices (for topping)
  • Lettuce leaves (for topping)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, breadcrumbs, onion, bell pepper, corn, chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, and cilantro.
  2. Mix until well combined and form into 4 patties.
  3. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  4. Grill the patties for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked through.
  5. Toast the burger buns on the grill for 1-2 minutes.
  6. Assemble the burgers with avocado, tomato, and lettuce on the buns.
