A delicious and moist pumpkin bread topped with a crunchy streusel, perfect for fall and holiday gatherings.

  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar (for streusel)
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour (for streusel)
  • 1/4 cup butter, softened (for streusel)
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon (for streusel)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together pumpkin puree, vegetable oil, sugar, and eggs until well combined.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Fold in nuts if using.
  5. In a separate bowl, prepare the streusel by combining brown sugar, flour, butter, and cinnamon until crumbly.
  6. Pour the pumpkin bread batter into the prepared loaf pan and sprinkle the streusel mixture on top.
  7. Bake for 60-70 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  8. Allow to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
