- 9 lasagna noodles
- 2 cups ricotta cheese
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1 cup cooked ground beef or sausage
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Black olives for decoration
- Fresh basil for garnish
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the lasagna noodles according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
- In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese, egg, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Spread a layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of a baking dish.
- Layer 3 lasagna noodles over the sauce, followed by half of the ricotta mixture, half of the ground meat, and a third of the mozzarella cheese.
- Repeat the layers, finishing with a final layer of noodles, marinara sauce, and the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese on top.
- Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes, then remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until bubbly and golden.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before serving. Decorate with black olives to create ghostly faces and garnish with fresh basil.
