Delicious and easy-to-make Christmas cookies that will impress your guests during the holiday season.

Ingredients

  • 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 1/2 cups white sugar
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups chocolate chips
  • 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a small bowl, stir together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, white sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
  4. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
  5. Gradually blend the dry ingredients into the creamed mixture.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips and nuts (if using).
  7. Drop by rounded spoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets.
  8. Bake for 9 to 11 minutes in the preheated oven, or until edges are golden.
  9. Let cool on the cookie sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.

Notes

  • For a festive touch, add colored sprinkles on top before baking.
  • Store cookies in an airtight container to keep them fresh.
  • These cookies can be frozen for up to 3 months.
