2 pounds of potatoes, peeled and sliced
1 cup of heavy cream
1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup of grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 cup of diced onions
2 cloves of garlic, minced
Salt and pepper to taste
2 tablespoons of butter
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a large pot, boil the sliced potatoes until just tender, about 10 minutes. Drain and set aside.
In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the onions and garlic, sautéing until translucent.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the heavy cream, cheddar cheese, Parmesan cheese, sautéed onions, and garlic. Season with salt and pepper.
Layer half of the potatoes in a greased baking dish. Pour half of the cheese mixture over the potatoes. Repeat with the remaining potatoes and cheese mixture.
Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbly.
