Delmonico Potatoes are a creamy, cheesy potato dish that is perfect for cozy nights. This recipe combines the richness of cheese with the comforting texture of potatoes, making it a delightful side dish for any meal.

  • 2 pounds of potatoes, peeled and sliced
  • 1 cup of heavy cream
  • 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup of grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup of diced onions
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons of butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large pot, boil the sliced potatoes until just tender, about 10 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the onions and garlic, sautéing until translucent.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, combine the heavy cream, cheddar cheese, Parmesan cheese, sautéed onions, and garlic. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. Layer half of the potatoes in a greased baking dish. Pour half of the cheese mixture over the potatoes. Repeat with the remaining potatoes and cheese mixture.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbly.
