  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • Sea salt for sprinkling

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together cocoa powder, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until well combined.
  3. Add melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients and mix until smooth.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine flour, salt, and baking powder, then fold into the chocolate mixture until just combined.
  5. Chill the dough in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes.
  6. Using a cookie scoop, drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  7. Sprinkle a pinch of sea salt on top of each cookie.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are set but the centers are still soft.
  9. Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
