  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon instant yeast
  • 1 1/2 cups warm water
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons fresh rosemary, chopped

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix together the flour, salt, sugar, and yeast.
  2. Add the warm water and stir until a shaggy dough forms.
  3. Fold in the parmesan cheese and rosemary.
  4. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let it rise for 12-18 hours at room temperature.
  5. Preheat the oven to 450°F (230°C) and place a Dutch oven inside to heat.
  6. Once the dough has risen, turn it out onto a floured surface and shape it into a ball.
  7. Carefully remove the hot Dutch oven and place the dough inside.
  8. Cover and bake for 30 minutes, then uncover and bake for an additional 15 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Let the bread cool on a wire rack before slicing.

Notes

  • For a stronger rosemary flavor, increase the amount of rosemary used.
  • This bread is best enjoyed fresh but can be stored in an airtight container for a few days.
