- 2 medium sweet potatoes, peeled and cubed
- 1 cup red lentils, rinsed
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon cumin powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Oil for frying
- Boil the sweet potatoes until tender, then mash them in a bowl.
- In a separate pot, cook the red lentils in water until soft, then drain.
- Add the cooked lentils, breadcrumbs, onion, garlic, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper to the mashed sweet potatoes and mix well.
- Form the mixture into patties.
- Heat oil in a pan over medium heat and fry the patties until golden brown on both sides.
- Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
