  • 1 block firm tofu, pressed and drained
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon ginger powder
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. Press and drain the tofu to remove excess moisture.
  2. Cut the tofu into cubes and toss them in cornstarch until evenly coated.
  3. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, maple syrup, rice vinegar, sesame oil, garlic powder, and ginger powder.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat.
  5. Add the tofu cubes and fry until golden and crispy on all sides.
  6. Pour the sauce over the crispy tofu and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until sticky.
  7. Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, double fry the tofu.
