A quick and easy recipe for Chinese Beef and Broccoli that you can make in one pan, perfect for a take-out style meal at home.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • 1/4 cup beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, and beef broth to create the marinade.
  2. Add the sliced beef to the marinade and let it sit for 15 minutes.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a large pan over medium-high heat.
  4. Add the marinated beef to the pan and stir-fry until browned.
  5. Add the minced garlic and ginger, and stir for another minute.
  6. Add the broccoli florets and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until tender-crisp.
  7. Pour in the sesame oil and mix well.
  8. Serve hot over rice or noodles.

Notes

  • For a spicier version, add red pepper flakes.
  • Feel free to substitute the beef with chicken or tofu for a different protein.
  • Make sure not to overcook the broccoli to retain its crunch.
