A delicious and hearty casserole combining the flavors of cheeseburgers and crispy tater tots.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 bag (32 oz) frozen tater tots
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, brown the ground beef and onion over medium heat until the beef is cooked through.
  3. Drain excess fat and stir in the cream of mushroom soup, milk, garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.
  4. Spread the beef mixture evenly in a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
  5. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the beef mixture.
  6. Arrange the tater tots on top of the cheese layer.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the tater tots are golden brown and crispy.
  8. Let cool for a few minutes before serving.

  • Feel free to add your favorite burger toppings like pickles or tomatoes.
  • This dish can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator before baking.
  • For a spicier version, add jalapeños or hot sauce to the beef mixture.
