  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup red wine vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine soy sauce, olive oil, red wine vinegar, brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce.
  2. Add minced garlic, Dijon mustard, black pepper, onion powder, and smoked paprika to the mixture.
  3. Whisk all ingredients together until well combined.
  4. Place the tri-tip in a resealable plastic bag or a shallow dish.
  5. Pour the marinade over the tri-tip, ensuring it is well coated.
  6. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.
  7. Remove the tri-tip from the marinade and discard the marinade before cooking.
  8. Grill or roast the tri-tip to your desired doneness.
