  • 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 3 cups milk
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp mustard powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the elbow macaroni according to package instructions until al dente, then drain and set aside.
  3. In a large saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour and cook for about 1 minute.
  4. Gradually whisk in the milk, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens.
  5. Add the garlic powder, onion powder, mustard powder, salt, and pepper. Stir in the cheddar, mozzarella, and Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
  6. Combine the cooked macaroni with the cheese sauce, mixing well.
  7. Transfer the mac and cheese to a greased baking dish. If desired, sprinkle breadcrumbs on top for added crunch.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until bubbly and golden on top.
